External access to databases and e-books

The Library users may access databases subscribed by the Library from any computers including those outside the campus network.

How to access databases from non-campus network computers:
The users access the databases from the campus network workstations as it was done previously. The databases can be accessed from non-campus network computers by the users with valid Library patron accounts only. After clicking a hyperlink to the selected database the user is redirected to the page requiring a USER LOGIN and a PASSWORD.

The user is required to enter a numeric equivalent of his/her Library user barcode as a LOGIN. The numbers are printed below the barcode on a Student ID Card or staff Library Card. The equivalent of the barcode may also be retrieved from the Library user account. In order to retrieve it please:
1. Access online catalog website
2. Log in
3. Switch to My Account tab. The numeric chain is located in administration data.
The PASSWORD is identical with the password used to log in to the Library user account. If the user fails to access databases and e-books, he/she is kindly requested to update his/her Library account password and retry accessing the Library e-resources.

The users who do not know their user logins and/or passwords are requested to contact the Reading Room (staff) or Student Loan Desk (students) IN PERSON (due to personal data protection restrictions).
